Laptop Computers Crestwood Middle School
CHSSA partnered with Tidewater Community College Computer Club to purchase, for a small fee, four (4) refurbished laptop computers that were awarded to students at Crestwood Middle School. Five (5) Chrome Notebooks were also obtained and were also awarded to the Middle School. Next year, the Association will select another Chesapeake Public School that will receive the computers.
The Association was very pleased and excited during Black History Month to present three (3) full days of lectures to the students at Crestwood Middle School. The lectures primarily focused on the chronological history of Norfolk County merging with the City of South Norfolk to form the City of Chesapeake; Douglass Park, Norfolk County, and Crestwood High School; and, the accomplishments and contributions of its students to communities throughout this country. Artifacts, uniforms, and pictures from Crestwood, Norfolk County, and Douglass Park High Schools were also on display.
